Bear Hunts Over Bait - September You will be set up on the most active bait sites in the Western Mountains of Maine, all sites provided with a tree stand, and all shots set up to fifteen yards maximum to accommodate bow hunters. Our success for bait hunting runs about 90 percent kill with usually all hunters reporting sightings of bear. Bear Hunting with Hounds - September and October For those of you who have never hunted with hounds this is an experience of a lifetime. Finding the bears natural feeds and casting the strike dog out to find the scent of the bear and to hear the race across the mountains is truly an unforgettable experience. Our success rate for hound hunting is about 90 percent. Bobcat Hunts with Hounds - December to January I feel this is the most cunning and unpredictable animal to hunt in the State of Maine, with some toms exceeding 40 pounds. On all hound hunts you will be hunting with some of the most productive hounds in the Northeast. |
